Canberra Garms was started by five boys who opened their first store at 19. What began as buying and selling clothes turned into a shared goal to build something real around fashion, community, and sustainability.
We created Canberra Garms to give quality clothing a second life. Instead of chasing fast fashion, we focus on vintage garments, designer and second hand clothing that still has years of wear left in it.
We are especially drawn to Japanese and European designers such as Comme des Garçons, Prada, Issey Miyake and Christian Dior.
Every item is individually selected. We look at authenticity, condition, fit, and overall quality before it ever hits the rack.
Buying from customers allows us to keep clothing within the community, rather than sending it overseas or contributing to landfill. Through Cash for Garms, garments are reused locally, reducing waste while keeping quality pieces accessible close to home.
Opening a store taught us quickly how much work goes into building something from the ground up. Canberra Garms is still growing, but the goal stays the same. Keep things honest, keep quality high, and make fashion more sustainable without overcomplicating it.
You can find Canberra Garms on Lonsdale St Braddon, with new archive, vintage, and second hand pieces every day available in store and online.
